A split AC is really two machines joined by a pair of copper pipes and a cable. The indoor unit on your wall handles air: it blows, filters, senses temperature and drains condensation. The outdoor unit does the hard work: compressing refrigerant and throwing the room's heat outside. When something goes wrong, the first question our technician asks is simple: which half has the problem?
We repair split ACs of every brand at homes, offices and shops across Vijayawada, both fixed-speed and inverter models. All AC repairs
Indoor Unit Problems
Water Dripping From the Indoor Unit
The drain pipe is blocked with algae and dust, or it has lost its downward slope, or the coil is so dirty that water overflows the tray. Less often, low gas freezes the coil and the meltwater floods. We flush the drain, correct the slope and find the root cause. AC water leakage guide
Weak Airflow
Dirty filters first, then a dirty evaporator coil or blower wheel. On older units, a weakening indoor fan motor or its capacitor reduces speed.
Indoor Fan Not Running
A failed fan motor (BLDC on inverter ACs), a fan motor capacitor on older models, or a PCB fault. You'll often see an error code on inverter models.
Not Responding to the Remote
Batteries, then the remote itself (point a phone camera at the remote's tip and press a button; a working remote shows a flicker on screen), then the receiver on the indoor unit, then the PCB.
Musty Smell
Mould growing on a damp coil and blower wheel. A deep AC service clears it.
Swing Louvre Stuck
A small swing motor or broken louvre clip. A quick, inexpensive fix.
Outdoor Unit Problems
Outdoor Unit Silent
If the indoor unit is running but the outdoor unit isn't, the likely causes are a failed contactor, a blown fuse, a loose or burnt wire, a tripped overload or, on inverter ACs, the outdoor PCB. We trace it step by step. Outdoor unit troubleshooting
Outdoor Unit Humming but Fan or Compressor Not Starting
The classic sign of a failed run capacitor. Heat and voltage dips age capacitors fast in Vijayawada summers, and replacing one is quick. If the capacitor tests fine, we check the compressor. AC compressor repair
Outdoor Fan Not Spinning
The compressor runs but the fan doesn't, so heat can't escape and the unit trips on high pressure. Fan motor or fan capacitor.
Ice on the Pipes
Low gas from a leak, very dirty filters or a faulty indoor fan. Ice on the thick pipe at the outdoor unit is a common sign of low refrigerant. AC gas leak repair
Rattling or Vibration
Loose mounting bolts, worn anti-vibration pads or a fan blade hitting the grille.
Costs and Questions
Typical split AC repairs : drain clearing ₹300 – ₹600, run capacitor ₹600 – ₹1,200, fan capacitor ₹400 – ₹800, contactor ₹600 – ₹1,200, indoor or outdoor fan motor ₹1,800 – ₹4,500, PCB repair ₹1,500 – ₹4,000, gas leak repair and refill ₹2,500 – ₹4,500. All AC charges
Should I switch off the AC if water is dripping?
Yes, to protect your wall and electrics. Then call us; it's usually a quick fix.
My inverter split AC shows an error code. Can you help?
Yes. Note the code and send it to us with the model number. Inverter AC repair
Do you repair all split AC brands?
Yes, including Daikin, Voltas, LG, Samsung and Blue Star. We're independent, not a brand's authorised centre.
