Bosch front-loaders are built the German way: heavy, quiet, precise, and full of sensors that watch everything from the water level to how evenly the load is spread. When something isn't right, a Bosch would rather stop and show a code than carry on and risk damage. That's good engineering. It also means the machine often refuses to work over a fault that's simple to fix, once someone knows where to look.

Bosch Faults and What They Mean
E18: Water Not Draining
The most common Bosch code we attend. Nine times out of ten, the pump filter behind the small flap at the bottom front is packed with lint, hair or coins. Put a tray and towels down, open the emergency drain hose first if your model has one, then unscrew the filter slowly. If it's clean and E18 persists, the drain pump or hose needs attention.
E17: Water Not Coming In
Tap not fully open, a kinked inlet hose, a clogged filter mesh in the hose connection, or an inlet valve that has failed. Low pressure on upper floors can also trigger it.
E23 or a Leak Warning
Some Bosch models have a leak sensor in the base. When water collects there, the machine stops and drains. The cause can be a loose hose, a leaking pump seal, a door gasket tear or over-foaming from too much detergent.
Door Won't Open
Bosch doors stay locked while water remains in the drum. Drain it first (via the filter if needed). If it's empty and still locked, the door lock module or its control signal is at fault.
Bearing Noise
A loud rumble in spin, rising over months, means drum bearings. Bosch machines are well worth a bearing replacement because the rest of the machine is typically in good health.
Electronic Module Faults
The main module controls everything. Voltage surges are its enemy. We repair modules at component level where reliable, or source a replacement for your exact model.
Codes differ across Bosch generations, and older models show F-codes instead. Send yours with the model number (on the inside of the door rim) to +91 00000 00000.
Our Approach to Bosch Repairs
Bosch machines reward methodical work. We read the fault memory where accessible, check the simple causes first, then test the pump, valves, lock, heater and module individually. Common parts like pumps and door locks are carried; modules and bearing kits for specific models are sourced within a few days. Bosch and Siemens machines share much of their engineering, so our experience with one helps with the other. Siemens washing machine repair

Questions
My Bosch shows E18 every few washes. Why?
Debris builds up in the filter or pump. Clean the filter monthly, check pockets before washing, and if it continues, the pump impeller may be worn.
Is Bosch repair more expensive?
Parts can cost more than mainstream brands, but Bosch machines tend to justify repair because they're built to last.
Should I use Bosch's own service?
During warranty, yes. After that, we're a quicker, more affordable option for most repairs.
