We are an independent repair service and are not affiliated with or authorised by Onida or MIRC Electronics.
Mention Onida to anyone who grew up in India in the 1980s or 90s and they'll probably think of televisions first. But the brand has sold washing machines for years too, especially affordable semi-automatics and entry-level top-loaders. Many of those machines are still running in Vijayawada homes, and their owners would much rather fix them than replace them.
That's a sensible choice, because most Onida faults are simple and the parts are inexpensive. All washing machine repairs
Onida Faults We Fix
Semi-Automatic Machines
- Wash timer stuck or the pulsator turning one way only: almost always the timer
- Spin tub not turning: spin lid switch, spin timer, brake or spin motor capacitor, then the motor
- Leaking underneath: drain hose, drain selector or spin seal
- Weak wash: a slipping belt or tired motor capacitor
Fully Automatic Top-Loaders
Water not filling (inlet mesh or valve), not draining (drain motor), spin failure (lid switch or clutch), and board faults after power surges.

Questions
My Onida is very old. Can you still find parts?
For semi-automatics, nearly always, since many parts are standard across brands. For older top-loader boards, we'll check before the visit.
Will a repair be worth it?
For a timer, switch, capacitor or seal, almost certainly. We'll tell you honestly if the machine has reached the end.
