The PCB, or printed circuit board, is your AC's brain. It reads the remote, watches the room temperature, decides when the compressor and fans should run, and on inverter ACs controls their speed second by second. When it fails, the symptoms can be baffling: an AC that's completely dead, one that switches itself off, a display full of random digits, or a light blinking in a pattern nobody can decode.

Signs of a PCB Problem
- AC completely dead, no beep, no light, even though the socket has power
- Remote stops working but the remote itself is fine
- AC switches off on its own after a few minutes or hours
- Fans or compressor don't start, with an error code or blinking lamp
- Display showing garbled digits or nothing at all
- A burning smell from the indoor unit (switch off immediately)
- Problems started right after a power cut, storm or voltage surge
Many of these can also come from a sensor, a fan motor, the wiring or the capacitor. That's why diagnosis matters: a new board fitted to an AC whose real fault was a ₹600 sensor is money thrown away.

How We Diagnose
We check the incoming supply, fuses and power section first, then the board's outputs to the fans, compressor and display, then the sensors it relies on. For inverter ACs, the indoor and outdoor boards are tested separately, along with the communication between them. We'll show you what failed.
Component-Level Repair
Many board failures are a single blown fuse, a failed relay, a burnt resistor, a swollen capacitor or a damaged power supply section. These can be repaired reliably, at a fraction of a new board's cost. Some repairs are done on site; others need bench work, so we take the board and return to refit it, usually within one to three days.
When Replacement Is Better
If the main processor or inverter module has failed, if the board is badly burnt or corroded by moisture, or if a repair wouldn't be dependable, we recommend a replacement board. We source the correct part for your model, original where available, and you'll see the price before ordering.
Protecting Your New or Repaired Board
Voltage swings are the number-one board killer in Vijayawada. A stabiliser suited to your AC, or a whole-home surge protector, is far cheaper than a second board. Keep the outdoor unit's terminal cover sealed against rain, and switch off at the MCB during thunderstorms if your area is prone to surges.
